THE CAL STATE LA BIOSTART MISSION

The Cal State LA BioStart Bioscience Entrepreneurs Boot Camp is a five-week, intensive training program that prepares emerging bioscience entrepreneurs to launch their own bioscience ventures. The boot camp is a collaborative project of Cal State LA, the Biocom Institute and the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator.

With investment from the U.S. Economic Development Administration, the training is offered at no charge to eligible participants.

Who should apply?

• Early-stage entrepreneurs interested in launching a bioscience venture
• Emerging entrepreneurs interested in taking bioscience ideas to market
• Scientists, university faculty, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students

TOPICS COVERED

The boot camp addresses the challenges most common to scientists and new entrepreneurs seeking to turn their scientific discoveries into successful companies. Seasoned business professionals will also benefit from lessons in bioscience-specific topics, such as FDA-regulated development, manufacturing and quality control processes.
